Does claiming a DQ reward costs my Items or is it totally a Bug?

I had to grind for a good amount of time just to gather 20 Dark Flames. There was a daily quest that was completed by gathering 17 Drake Flames. I claimed the Reward but after I opened my inventory 17 of my Dark Flames Are vanished. I really want my Dark Flames Back.

This is actually not a bug. The quest takes your items and it's an expected behavior.

Really, I have played Many RPG games but this is the first time where I hear about such a system. Can I reverse it pretty please. I don't have the patience to grind hours for the Dark Flame. And I'd like to criticize the DQ system by saying "it's full of shit". I didn't even knew DQ costs items before playing this game.

Err, sorry to contradict you but actually 99% of RPG work this way, I think you're confused.

In RPG games, quests usually require you to collect items in order to give them to a NPC in exchange of a reward.

But I didn't get this Quests from NPCs. They're like the Daily mission quests you have to complete by doing a Task. But Nonetheless I enjoyed your game till now. I guess it can't be helped.
